American composer, musician and band leader (born October 18, 1911 in New York, NY – died October 12, 2002 in Palm Beach, FL) Joe Ricardel was born as Joe Ricciardello. He played the violin, piano, saxophone, trumpet and clarinet. With his orchestra, he toured hotels and resorts through the United States and performed on the radio and on the Arthur Godfrey Show on TV. A member of the American Society of Composers and Publishers, he wrote several hit songs, including "The Wise Old Owl" (1941), "Frim Fram Sauce", and "The Brooklyn Dodgers Jump."
