Jamaican singer, musician (guitar, rhumba box), dancer, mento performer. An early and long-time member of The Jolly Boys.
Minott was part of a dance troupe (in which he specialized in hand-walking and fire eating) who often performed with The Jolly Boys in the 1960s. This led to him occasionally performing on rhumba box with the group, before eventually becoming a full member. He became lead singer in 2010.
Born 14 September 1938, died 30 June 2017, 78 years old.
