Михаил Карлович Штейнберг
Mikhail Steinberg (1867–?) was a Russian songwriter and composer. He wrote over 70 romances for many prominent singers at the beginning of the XX century, including Anastasia Vyaltseva, Raisa Raisova, and Yury Morfessi, with 'Heida Troika' (Гай-да Тройка) being one of the most famous. Not much else is known about his biography.
M. K. Steinberg is often confused with a composer M. O. Steinberg (1883–1946), and works signed simply as M. Steinberg had been sometimes misattributed even in libraries and catalogs.
