Günther Kretschmer

Composer and arranger, born 1928 in Dresden, died October 2016 ibid. He wrote songs for various Pop-Singers in the GDR (like Frank Schöbel or Christian Schafrik) and he also conducted the Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Berlin in several Big Band/Swing recordings. His most impressive work is the Big Band-LP Gross Stadt Rhythmus (AMIGA, 8 55 213, 1970), played by the Rundfunk-Tanzorchester Berlin.
