Jorge Maza

Cuban musician and bandleader born in Havana. He plays flute, saxophone. Founding member in 1988 of La Charanga Habanera (when they were a charanga) and David Calzado & La Charanga Habanera (when they moved to Cuba, became one of the first Timba bands and were a charanga only in name). In 1988 he was one of the founders of La Charanga Forever (another charanga only in name). Played and recorded with ¡Cubanismo! and others. He is now based in Toronto, Canada.
