Tony Sauceda

Birth date: 1/17/1946 Death: August 5th, 2016 Tony Sauceda con su bajo sexto creció musicalmente junto a Lorenzo Reyes, formando el Dueto Reynosa, amistad unida por la música y las vivencias del camino artístico, hasta que Tony fue contratado por Ramón Ayala, lo que lo llevó a separarse de Lorenzo y continuar su trayectoria profesional. En 1974, durante una campaña evangelística, Tony fue profundamente quebrantado por Dios, se arrepintió de corazón, terminó su gira y dejó a Los Bravos del Norte de Ramón Ayala para dedicar su vida y su voz únicamente a cantarle a Cristo. Con ese fuego nuevo en su espíritu, Tony regresó ahora con el poeta Ben Piña, baterista y amigo de Tony: Raúl Pérez de los Relámpagos del Norte, y Antonio Monzon, guitarrista de Generacion De Jesus, quienes llegaron a la puerta de Lorenzo Reyes para evangelizar. Lorenzo los recibió y escuchó el mensaje y ese momento se convirtió en el inicio de su encuentro personal con Cristo. Ahora junto con Tony, su hermano Juan Luis Sauceda, Lorenzo Reyes y Raúl Pérez nació el conjunto Los Misioneros. Su impacto fue histórico, convirtiéndose en pioneros de la música cristiana norteña, inspirando a multitudes y llevando a innumerables almas a los pies de Cristo, demostrando que Dios transforma vidas para Su gloria. Tony Sauceda, with his bajo sexto, grew musically alongside Lorenzo Reyes, forming a friendship bound by music and the experiences of the artistic journey, until Tony was hired by Ramón Ayala, which led him to part ways with Lorenzo and continue his professional path. In 1974, during an evangelistic campaign, Tony was deeply broken by God, repented from his heart, ended his tour, and left Los Bravos del Norte and Ramón Ayala to dedicate his life and his voice solely to singing for Christ. With this new fire in his spirit, Tony returned with the poet Ben Piña, drummer and friend of Tony: Raúl Pérez of Los Relámpagos del Norte, and Antonio Monzón, guitarist from Generación de Jesús, and they came to the door of Lorenzo Reyes to evangelize. Lorenzo welcomed them, listened to the message, and that moment became the beginning of his personal encounter with Christ. Now, together with Tony, his brother Juan Luis Sauceda, Lencho, and Raúl Pérez, the group Los Misioneros was born. Their impact was historic, becoming pioneers of Christian norteño music, inspiring multitudes and leading countless souls to the feet of Christ, proving that God transforms lives for His glory.
