M People is an English dance band, formed in 1990 in Manchester. According to Billboard, M People is the 83rd most successful dance act of all time. The "M" in "M People" is taken from the group founder's name, Mike Pickering. M People won the 1994 & 1995 BRIT Music Award for the "Best British Dance Act".
