Italian composer (born in Rome, Italy, June 20, 1920 - died in Mexico City, Mexico, July 18, 1957). Composed with Angelo Francesco Lavagnino the soundtrack of the famous "Othello" by Orson Welles (1949). By necessity, he later dedicated himself to light music. Paired with Michele Galdieri, he wrote the 1945 hit "Munasterio 'e Santa Chiara", a bitter tale of the city scarred by bombs. In 1952, he followed the soubrette Tina De Mola onto an American tour. He fell in love with Mexico City and decided to stay there. At the age of only 37, he died of a heart attack in a Mexico City nightclub during an earthquake.
