Sam Waymon

US American actor, film composer, songwriter, performer, singer, pianist and civil rights activist. Brother of Eunice Kathleen Waymon, better known as Nina Simone, for whom he wrote music and with whom he performed for over ten years before starting a solo career. He acted in and wrote the music for the movie "Ganja & Hess" and was musical director and composer for three musicals. Born August 16, 1944 in North Carolina
