American dance-jazz/rock'n'roll musician, singer, songwriter, and record label owner (Reca Records). Born on July 10, 1927 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, USA. Died April 3, 2016. Initially, he played clarinet in the North East Arkansas Symphony Orchestra, then alto saxophone and then tenor saxophone. In 1979, he became a Doctor of Theology.
