German keyboardist and composer. Born January 2, 1951 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, Germany; died January 26, 2019. He founded his first own band "Marvin Kemper and the Soul-Group" in 1966 and the "Modivations" in 1969. He collaborated with Joey Albrecht, which led in 1971, that he became co-founder of the band Karthago, where he was keyboarder. Spending their successful years with the band, he left the band in 1976, when tensions started within the band. Already in 1975, he started to play with Kraan, after he left Karthago, he became a fix member of the band. He stayed with Kraan from 1975 to 2007. During this period, he also was guest musisian of other bands of their genre, as Guru Guru Sunband and Bad Boy in the early 1980's. With Butze Fischer, he had a project called "Tavil" in the early 1980's, as well. This project lasted until the 1990's. He joined Frank Diez in 2008 on his project "Bärlin Blues Band". Finally, in 2009, Bischof released his first solo album.
