Singer and conductor, Michel Piquemal created this ensemble in 1978. Thanks to the Culture Ministry, the training schedule became professional in 1982. This ensemble performs in various musical forms: a capella, with piano, with orchestration; which allows him the interpretation of a very vast repertoire. Invited to play by numerous orchestras, he is present in the great festivals, and thanks to AFAA and to Fondation Paribas, he realizes several tours in Africa, Madagascar, the Reunion.
The discography of the ensemble is specially composed of recordings devoted to Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Johannes Brahms, Franz Schubert, Gioacchino Rossini and Jean-Louis Florentz.
It is subsidized by the Culture Ministry, the Conseil Régional D'Île-De-France and Paris City.
In 1991, he won the special prize Bettencourt at the Institute de France from the Academie des Beaux-Arts.
