On January 10, 1942 she was united in marriage to Murl Guffey of Green City. Most of their married life was spent on a farm in the Pennville area. In 1946, they began singing on KIRX radio in Kirksville. In 1948, they moved to Del Rio, TX to pursue a lifelong gospel singing career. They returned to their farm in Pennville, Missouri in 1959. In 1960, they began an eighteen year career on KTVO television. They returned to KIRX radio in 1992 where their program continues to air as of 2009.
