American jazz saxophonist and big band leader. Art worked, among others with Guy Lombardo. His big band ensemble ("The Art Mooney Orchestra") was very popular in the 1940s. Born January 26, 1913 in Lowell, Massachusetts. Died September 9, 1993 in North Miami, Florida. He charted twenty times between 1949-1960 including the #1 hit "I'm Looking Over a Four Leaf Clover" and #3 "Baby Face" in 1949.
