Husband of singer Helen Streiff and father of singer Mary Ann Owens.
He was known as "The Cruising Crooner." His songs have been covered by numerous well-known artists, although they have not always been correctly credited to him, having lacked adequate information about him, or have been mis-attributed to blues singer Jack Owens (3).
