From 1988 to 1992, he worked in Tokyo as 3A BROTHERS with TAK The Rhhhyme and INOVADER under the name MC ICHI (leader). In 1995, he moved to his hometown of Fukui, launched DOPE SQUAD PRODUCTIONS, and resumed his solo career while producing Fukui-made hip-hop. In 1997, he released "GHETTO RED HOT" in collaboration with DJ KENSAW from Osaka. This song brought him back to the scene. At this time, he also changed his name to MC ICHI aka 1LOW. In 2000, he changed his name to 1LOW and released his solo mini-album Live in da Ghetto. The first single from the album, AGRESSIVE DAWGS, was released on a 12-inch vinyl record. He then released his second single, BIG BAWLER. His hip-hop reminiscent of the 80's became a hot topic. In 2003, he released the full album "2WINDOPE" under the name of the DOPE UNIT "2WIN Dope" with DJ KENSAW.
