Harry Beckett

Jazz trumpeter, flugelhorn player and composer, born 30 May 1935 in St. Michael Parish, Barbados, died 22 July 2010 in London. First played the cornet in Salvation Army bands. Resident in the UK from 1954, worked with the group led by Leslie "Jiver" Hutchinson. Later a sideman with Graham Collier for forty-six years and a member of the Pierre Dørge & New Jungle Orchestra.
