Intohimo is an experimental post-hardcore band from Jönköping, Sweden. Their name Intohimo is the Finnish word for 'passion'.
Band started in the summer of 2004. Two recorded demos in 2004 and 2005: "In The Deepest Of Mind" & "PastPresentAndNeverAgain". 2006 they won "BEST UNSIGNED ACT AWARD" at the Swedish National IndieAwards. Their first album, 'Failures, Failures, Failures & Hope' was released in March 2007 by Pretty Dirty Promotions.
The band toured in Europe and were soon back in the studio. By the end of the summer 2008, Intohimo were signed by The Unit Music Company, and started working with Simon Grenehed of Blindside. During the autumn, they wrote and recorded their second album: 'Us; The Hollows', it was released in April 2009, climbing up to 15 on the Swedish Billboard chart. After a few member changes they released two EPs in 2012: Winter Sun and Northern Lights before calling it quits in 2013.
In 2025 the band played together live again in Stockholm and also mentioned they're working on new music. They played one of the new ones live. The concert was in Stockholm Saturday June 28th at Summer Party '25. Line-up is: Johan Lindblom (Vocals), Joakim Axling (before: Bergquist) (Guitar), Albin Blomqvist (Guitar), Jakob Sandgren (Bass) and Simon Bohm (Drums).
