Peanut Butter Wolf (real name: Christopher George Manak) is an American DJ, producer, and founder of the independent hip-hop label Stones Throw Records. Born on March 21, 1969, in San Jose, California, he gained recognition in the 1990s through his collaborations with rapper Charles Hicks (2) as Charizma & Peanut Butter Wolf. After Charizma’s passing in 1993, Peanut Butter Wolf established Stones Throw in 1996, shaping the careers of artists like Madlib, J Dilla, and MF DOOM. Known for his deep vinyl knowledge and eclectic DJ sets, he remains a key figure in underground hip-hop and alternative music.
