Aaron Owens

Aaron Owens (1 March 1977, Long Beach, California — 28 March 2015, Ibid.) was an American guitarist, brother of keyboardist Isaiah "Ikey" Owens (1975—2014) and bassist/composer Brandon "Eugene" Owens. He was best known as the member of Hepcat. In the early-to-mid 1990s, Aaron co-founded a short-lived ska/jazz band Pocket Lent with Ikey. Owens also briefly played with his brother in the ex-Sublime outfit Long Beach Dub Allstars. By tragic coincidence, 38-year-old Aaron F. Owens died of congestive heart failure less than a year after his eldest brother, Ikey Owens, succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest at only 39.
