Native Canadian (Huron) singer-songwriter-musician from the Quebec City region (Wendake), Gilles Sioui (1957-2017) was influenced early on by the likes of JJ.Cale, Albert & BB King and The Allman Brothers.
His brand of folk-blues-rock was well honed over the years with bands like the The Stephen Barry Band, Storm, Kashtin, the Bob Walsh Band and his own Midnight Riders, before recording his debut solo album "Rising Sun" in 2000. ...Next came "Old Fool", his out-of-print and now-rare sophomore release, which is a solid folk-blues effort with some great guitar riffs. His four albums display both his blues and First Nations indigenous influences.
