Maxim Sozontovich Berezovsky (October 16 [27] 1745, according to other sources - 1741 - March 22 [April 2] 1777, St. Petersburg, Russian Empire) - Russian composer who worked also in Italy. Along with D. S. Bortnyansky, he is considered the creator of the classical type of Russian choral concert. In the works of some Ukrainian researchers he is also considered as a representative of the Ukrainian school of composition.
