Austrian pianist and songwriter, born 17 March 1889 in Budapest, Hungary and died 15 May 1966 in Vienna, Austria. Brother of Ernö Geiger and Gyula Geiger
He was one of the first Viennese bar pianists, performing at venues including the Moulin Rouge in Vienna and, from 1913, for several years at the Carlton Bar. He was also a member of the Geigerbuam (Geiger Brothers). After the end of the First World War, he again worked as a bar pianist. He emigrated via France to Buenos Aires in 1938 and returned to Vienna in 1957, where he worked as a solo entertainer at the Kerzenstüberl, among other venues.
