American born, England based musician and the former lead singer of Katrina and the Waves. Born April 10, 1960 in Topeka, Kansas, USA.
Katrina's family moved to England in 1976 where she formed the band Mama’s Cookin’. In 1983 Katrina joined The Waves and the band renamed to Katrina and The Waves.
The first album was a substantial success and Walking on Sunshine was a worldwide hit. The band split in 1998.
Following the split Katrina pursued an alternative career on radio and TV. She was a TV presenter on Watchdog on BBC1 and radio host on BBC Radio 2. In 2001, Katrina began a solo career, releasing her first album in 2005. In 2006 she formed Katrina & The New Wave. In 2013 she published "Peggy Lee Loves London: My London Guide", which was followed in 2025 by "Peggy Lee Loves Cornwall". In 2016, Katrina took part in the BBC’s ‘Eurovision: You Decide.’
