American Garage Psych Pop band from Tucson, Arizona founded by Timothy Gassen in 1986; during 1991-1993, with changes in band personnel came a shortened band moniker, simply The Overcoat; Gassen soon brought the “Marshmallow” back onto the marquee for the remainder of the band’s life.
