Booker Ervin

American jazz tenor saxophonist. Born October 31, 1930, Denison, TX, USA Died July 31, 1970, New York City, NY, USA Began career with Ernie Fields. With Charles Mingus from November 1958 to 1962, also worked with Horace Parlan and Randy Weston. He died of kidney disease aged 39.
