American rockabilly singer and songwriter. Born June 27, 1934 in in Brighton, New York, USA . Died July 12, 2004 in Manhattan, New York, USA. Hickey charted with his own song "Bluebirds Over the Mountain" in 1958 (hitting #75 in the U.S.). Covers of the song charted by The Echoes in 1962 (#112) and The Beach Boys (#61 U.S., #33, U.K., 1968).
