Uta Graf

German classical soprano, * 05 January 1915 in Karlsruhe, German Empire, † 17 February 1995 in Greenwich, Connecticut, USA. Native of Karlsruhe, Germany. She studied with Ria Ginster and Anna Bahr-Mildenburg and made her professional debut at Heidelberg in 1938. From 1941 to 1947 she was a leading soprano with the Dusseldorf State Opera. She came to America in 1948 and made her American debut in New York. She was a leading soprano of the San Francisco Opera Company.
