Rossen was born in Akron, Ohio. He attended the University of North Texas, where he earned a Bachelors of Music in jazz piano performance. After graduating, he worked as a pianist on cruise ships, then worked as a musician in New York City for five years before moving to San Francisco. He started the company Freshmade Music in 2002 and performs as a jazz pianist with his trio and as a sideman around the Bay Area. He also provides musical accompaniment for an improv comedy troupe. His work as a composer has been featured in television, film, video games, advertising, animation, concert, the internet and theater.
