Czech band leader and composer Born March 28, 1902 in Zbraslav (Austria-Hungary), died 13 November 1988 in Zbraslav (former Czechoslovakia). Father of jazz drummer Josef Vejvoda. Known mainly for his composition "Škoda Lásky", = "Rosamunde", = "Beer Barrel Polka", = "Here comes the Navy" (and its variants in many different languages).
