Abana Ba Nasery

Kenyan band from Bunyore, Western Province, performing in the omutibo tradition. Led by guitarist / vocalist Shem Tube, the group was originally active in the 1960s & 1970s, performing and releasing a string of 45s. After their breakup, Tube and Osala formed the new group Les Bunyore Jazz Band. Abana Ba Nasery reunited in 1991, touring and recording an album before disbanding again.
