Linda Laurie

American singer/songwriter. Born May 26, 1941 in New York City, New York, USA. Died November 19, 2009 (age of 68) in Santa Barbara, USA. As a songwriter she charted five times in the U.S. between 1973-82: She hit #3 overall and #1 adult contemporary in 1973 with "Leave Me Alone (Ruby Red Dress)" by Helen Reddy. As a singer, she had charted earlier in 1959 with the novelty record "Ambrose (Part 5)", which went to #52 on the Billboard chart while she was still a high school student.
