John Honeyman

British double bass player. Born 24 January 1925 in Cowdenbeath, Fifeshire, Scotland, UK - Died 22 August 2009. He studied at the Royal Scottish Academy Of Music And Drama. He was Principal Bass of the London Mozart Players. He then joined the Philharmonia Orchestra (left in 1955) and then the London Philharmonic Orchestra (left in late 1956). He became involved with the London Chamber Orchestra and subsequently managed it for some years in the 1970s.
