Marcos Vasconcellos

Brazilian composer and lyricist. Co-wrote many songs with Carlos Pingarilho that were recorded by João Gilberto, Elis Regina, Leny Andrade, Os Cariocas, Eumir Deodato, Luiz Bonfá, Ithamara Koorax, Dom Um Romao, Gretchen Parlato and many others. Also worked as an architect and as a journalist for Rio de Janeiro's daily newspaper Tribuna da Imprensa. Died of cancer on January 12, 1989, aged 55.
