American songwriter, publisher and producer 3 May 1915 – 25 January 1965, formed Dimension Records (9) with Don Kirshner in 1962, with whom he was also co-owner of Aldon Music from 1958. Brother of Morty Nevins and cousin of Artie Dunn. Morty is considered one of the major forces behind the evolution of the 1950s music into the early 1960s pop/rock music.
