Faruk H. Jažić born on 17 April 1959 in Sarajevo, Bosnia & Herzegovina to father Dr. Hilmija and mother Ferida (Zupčević) Jažić.
He completed elementary school, high school, and the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo.
He began engaging in music at the age of eight. He played in many bands and, at the age of sixteen, began his professional musical career. He became a studio musician by age eighteen and since then has played, composed and arranged for many popular artists including Zdravko Čolić, Duško Kuliš, Dino Merlin, Meho Puzić, Toma Zdravković and Vesna Zmijanac. During his rich career he was a longtime member of the National Orchestra of Radio-Television Sarajevo and the Sarajevo Philharmonic music producer.
As a recipient of numerous festival and discography awards and recognitions, he was the first composer and performer of patriotic songs at the beginning of the aggression on the Republic of Bosnia & Herzegovina. He also acted as a diplomat of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Federal Republic of Germany from May 1993 to mid-1996.
Before his death on 12 January 2011, he was employed at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and founded the Bosnaton record label. He was married and the father of two children.
