Maarten Altena Ensemble

Jazz and contemporary ensemble formed by Maarten Altena in 1980. In 1997 Altena stopped playing in the Maarten Altena Ensemble, as he could no longer combine all his different activities. He still worked as a composer and arranger for the Ensemble though, until 2005 when he finally took his leave as artistic director of the group, which would then continues as Ensemble MAE.
