On November 11, 2004, Matthias “Matze” Bonnefeld, Michael “Michi” Bonnefeld, Alex “Thunder” Völker and Jörg “Jogi” Woltering founded the band Rockwasser. At first, the rehearsals mainly covered songs from bands that could be described as musical influences, since none of the band members had played an instrument until shortly before the first rehearsals. But after a short time, Matthias Bonnefeld wrote and rehearsed his first songs. The first concerts were played in mid-2005 and the first CD O.R.I.G.I.N.A.L. was released in April 2007. produced and self-published, which was followed by numerous concerts. In November 2008, the Asbeck band's second studio album, Here with Us, was released, which was again distributed independently. In contrast to the first, this album was much more German rock. In 2009 and 2010, several concerts followed with well-known scene bands such as Betontod, Kärbholz and Massendefekt. The third studio album In all these years was released in autumn 2010. The first larger festivals were played, such as the Ehrlich and Laut Festival, 20 Years of Betontod Festival and the Kärbholz Heimspiel No.5. This was followed by a label contract with Better Than Hell and Rockwasser became tour support for Betontod on their Antirockstar tour in 2012 in Vienna, Munich and Frankfurt. After a 5-year break, the fourth studio album Still not fed up was released in 2015 via soul food and with full support from Rookies & Kings.
