Lexi C.M.K. Turner
Lexi C.M.K. Turner's discography with cataloged releases, editions, and credits
Lexi C.M.K Turner is a New York based experimental/noise musician and writer, best known for her theological harsh noise wall project Prayer Rope. Performing vocals, bass guitar and drum programming in various London gothic rock bands in the 2000s—including Children of Caine, The Hemlock Party, Harlequeen, and Porphyria—Lexi became known initially as the frontwoman and multi-instrumentalist of the experimental psychedelic outfit Lillian Gish, and as the techno/jungle DJ Black, MA. On relocating to Ithaca and Brooklyn, New York, she created Prayer Rope: an HNW persona heavily inspired by medieval apophatic mysticism, and And the Maiden: an autobiographical harsh noise project, that went on indefinite hiatus in February 2024, with the final album Hate My Body[/I]. And the Maiden has effectively been replaced with the techno-influenced "confessional electronics" of Each Night I Dream Of Razors, whose first album Fearful Avoidant is expecting a late 2024 release. Lexi is also a member of several noise collaborations and supergroups, such as Homocidal, The Lethal Temple, Tsalal and the Pink Triangle Series. Outside of noise, Lexi is a dungeon synth and dark ambient musician, as the keyboardist and co-producer of Avoidance, and the sole musician behind Erlöst.
