She has been actively working in the music industry since the early 1980's. Beginning as a songwriter primarily focused on music for children, she joined the National Academy of Songwriters. Her company Songwriter Services was formed and became one of the first "sample clearance" businesses in the industry alongside her core publishing administration focus. Eventually, Madeleine renewed her efforts as a sole proprietor in the areas of music clearance, consulting, publishing administration, and master recording administration under her newly formed company MS2, LLC.
