Cuban double bassist, bassist of classical formation, orchestra leader, pedagogue, played in Irakere for 25 years, and also as a session bassist, lately moved to Turku, Finland in 2001 where he created Impacto Cubano, father of bassist Carlitos del Puerto and flautist Grethel del Puerto, son of bassist and tuba player Carlos Manuel del Puerto "El Japonés" (who played with Obdulio Morales)
