Vivian Perlis (born April 26, 1928, Brooklyn, New York, USA – died July 4, 2019, Weston, Connecticut, USA) was an American musicologist and the founder and former director of Yale University’s Oral History of American Music. Vivian Perlis attended the University of Michigan where she studied classical harp and piano.
