American songwriter, musician, and producer. Born February 18, 1939 in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Died September 10, 2025 in Los Angeles, California, USA. Bobby Hart was best known as one half of the songwriting duo Boyce & Hart, who wrote and produced numerous hits for the TV band The Monkees, including "Last Train to Clarksville" and the show's iconic theme song. Beyond his influential work with The Monkees, Hart co-wrote pop hits like "I Wonder What She's Doing Tonite?" and created theme music for TV programs such as "Days of Our Lives." In the 1970s, he briefly toured with Monkees members and continued his career as a musician and producer.
