Dutch bassist, composer, arranger and producer. Born 26 November 1946 in Hilversum, Netherlands. Died 24 March, 2022 in Blaricum, Netherlands. A member of Focus (2) for most of the 1970s, he joined Earth And Fire in November 1978. After Earth And Fire broke up he was mostly active as producer and songwriter. Ruiter lived together with Jerney Kaagman since 1974.
