MexicoDavid Alfaro Siqueiros ((born December 29, 1896, Chihuahua – January 6, 1974, Cuernavaca, near Mexico City) was a Mexican social realist painter, one of the biggest representative of the 20th Century Mexican Muralism movement, alongside Diego Rivera and José Clemente Orozco. His painting merged popular Mexican tradition with the surreal and European expressionist aesthetics.
