Anne Ackerman Robinson

Anne Ackerman Robinson is the co-founder of Windham Hill Records together with her husband, William Ackerman. Initially Ackerman cut a record with money borrowed from friends and Anne Robinson, a bookstore owner at the time, distributed them. They worked at it part time for four years and then made the young record company a full time career. They also eventually got married and later were divorced. Ackerman Robinson did most of the design work for the early Windham Hill Records releases.
