Dieter Kindl

German bassist, guitarist, percussionist, producer and songwriter from the Mannheim area. Died on 11 March 2022 at the age of 79. Kindl was founding member of the beat band Hit Kids in 1965 in Mannheim, when he was student at a music school there. Shortly later, after Joy Fleming joined the band, he was part of the successor Joy & The Hit Kids, which renamed in 1969 to Joy Unlimited. He stayed together with the band until summer 1975, when he left the band. Later, he was almost no more active as musician, but became producer and songwriter for Schlager and Folk productions, e.g. for Hoffmann & Hoffmann.
