Mike Gormley

Canadian-American journalist and manager. Started career writing for the Ottawa Journal then moved to Detroit, writing for the Detroit Free Press and freelancing for Billboard, Creem, Circus and others. In 1971, he was hired by Mercury Record Corporation as Director of Publicity, then went on to work for A&M Records, Inc., leaving in 1982 to found, along with Miles Copeland (2), the artist management firm L.A. Personal Direction.
