The Holden Brothers were a country & western duet of Fairley Holden and Jack Holden (whose real name was Milton Jackson). In the early 1940s they were hired to perform on the "Renfro Valley Barn Dance" and the "Sunday Mornin' Gatherin'", two programs then heard on the CBS network. After WWII, Jack organized a new band called the Georgia Boys and Fairley rejoined him in Topeka, Kansas where they recorded two songs as the Holden Brothers for White Church Record and four songs as Jack Holden And The Georgia Boys for Red Barn Records. The Holden Brothers disbanded soon after and Jack moved to Atlanta with his wife Frances Kay to perform on WEAS and record several tracks for RCA.
