Michael Heltau

Actor and Chansonnier, born July 5, 1933 in Ingolstadt, Germany. He moved to Austria when he was a kid to attempt school. Afterwards he studies Acting in Vienna at "Max-Reinhardt-Seminar". After playing several roles he succeeded in 1965 at "Salzburger Festispiele", what allowed him to get one of the greatest theater actors alive in the German speaking parts of Europe. He played hundreds of roles and still is active on stage. In the Seventies he recorded a couple of records, mostly singing chansons in Viennese or translating Jacques Brel's lyrics into German.
